Taylor Swift’s Houses

Taylor Swift is thought to have a property portfolio consisting of at least five properties that she actively uses as well as some she has as investments or purchased for her parents. This post takes a look at Taylor Swift’s houses, from Nashville to Rhode Island, a collection totalling more than $80 million.

At 20 Taylor Swift bought a 3,240-square-foot condo on Nashville’s Music Row for $1.99 million. The penthouse was a slick contemporary design that Swift completely reimagined, replacing the sterile stairs with a spiral staircase and stripping the walls back to exposed brick. Though the apartment was decorated with fanciful Alice in Wonderland-esq decor back in 2012 when she was interviewed there, it is believed that the 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom duplex has a more refined interior now. The apartment also features two balconies, a study, fireplace and plenty of closet space.

In 2011 Taylor bought a 5,000-square-foot Greek Revival-style mansion on almost six acres of land in the elite suburb of Forest Hills, the purchase was for her parents and cost $2.5 million. Swift’s mother still lives at the estate and is routinely visited by her famous daughter who, on occasion, has been photographed entering the property by paparazzi with zoom lenses. The house features, five garages, an outdoor swimming pool with a large, two-storey pool house and extensive gardens, all boarded by large walls and fences.

Beverly Hills Cottage

In 2011 Taylor spent almost $4 million on a quaint cottage in Beverly Hills – her first property outside of her native Nashville. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom house sits on 1.37 acres and is nestled within the Franklin Canyon hillside behind a wall of trees and a gated gravel driveway. Swift still owns the house despite purchasing a larger estate, also in Beverly Hills, in 2015. You can see a tour of this house in Vogue’s 73 Questions video.

Swift’s New York apartment was bought in 2014 for almost $20 million. The 7 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms apartment, situated at 155 Franklin Street, was previously owned by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. The top two floors of the apartment block were combined together to create one large duplex before Swift decided to buy up additional properties around the apartment including a second-floor apartment in the same block at $9.75 million and the $18 million townhouse next door.

Taylor purchased her Rhode Island mansion, known as Holiday House, back in 2013 for $17.75 million. Set within 5.23 acres of ocean-front land, the 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom property was the subject of her 2020 track The Last Great American Dynasty (from Folklore) detailing the life of previous owner Rebekah Harknes, the widow of Standard Oil heir William Hale Harkness.

Beverly Hills Estate

Purchased for $25 million in 2015, Taylor Swift had the four bedroom estate designated as a historic landmark, due to its history as the home of Samuel Goldwyn – the co-founder of Goldwyn Pictures (now MGM). The house has featured on Swift’s instagram account in recent years, particularly during Lover‘s promotional era with images taken around the premises, including the tennis courts and gardens.
