Kate Middleton’s Apartment

However unwanted the fame must have been for an ordinary middle-class family, Kate Middleton was shuttled into global fame in 2011 when she married the 3rd-in-line to the throne, Prince William.  Before marrying she and her sister lived in a Chelsea flat, which has since been listed for sale for just below £2 million – giving a glimpse into the traditional English decor she and her family favour, so familiar to similar families across Great Britain. Here is a look Kate Middleton’s Apartment:

Listed by Knight Frank, the £1,950,000 flat is set over two floors taking in the original top floor of the building and the converted attic space above it. Located in old Chelsea the apartment comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a guest loo, a small galley-style kitchen, and a dining room-cum-sitting room.

Like many families who keep city flats, the furnishings are likely a mix of newly acquired traditional pieces, such as bright pattern cushions and works of art, and old furnishings passed through the family, such as comfy sofas or antique mirrors and dining sets.

Deep woods and antique pieces fit together harmoniously with cream and beige walls and carpets, while vintage rugs and traditional heater covers provide a pop of classic elegance.

According to the Daily Mail, the flat was originally purchased in 2002 for just £780,000 but in 16 years its worth has skyrocketed to £1,950,000 – a £1.2 million profit.
