Victoria Roper-Curzon’s Cottage

Victoria Roper-Curzon Eat Me Drink Me Thatched Cottage

Victoria Roper-Curzon is not only co-designer of the children’s clothing range Elfie, but also the owner of an increasingly popular instagram account which follows her and her family, and their gorgeous ‘Mary Poppins style’ holiday home. If you’re looking for some serious decor inspiration here’s a look inside Victoria Roper-Curzon’s Cottage in Hampshire:

Imaginatively named the Eat Me Drink Me cottage, this four bedroom thatched holiday home is nestled within the New Forest National Park in Hampshire and is teeming with the sort of charming bric-a-brac you would expect from an English Children’s Movie like Nanny McPhee, with colourful crochet blankets, brightly painted vintage beds and a mass of toys and books.

This mis-matched style runs through the house, with quirky qualities in every room giving the home a fairy-tale feel. In a time when interiors are increasingly bare and minimal the Eat Me Drink Me interiors are the antidote. In a style that Victoria described in an interview with The Telegraph as “maximal”, the country cottage is a warren of rooms painted and decorated in bright colours, each different from the last, with print wallpapers that provide the backdrop to salvaged furniture, hand-me-downs and kitsch market finds.

The child-friendly property is, perhaps, no surprise when you learn that Victoria and her pianist husband, Peter Roper-Curzon, are parents to five children, who are often dressed in the vintage-inspired designs of their mother’s whimsical clothing label Elfie. Here is a brief peek into their fantastical life:
